If anything, the last years have made it very clear how important human connections are. A smile, a hug, a wonderful conversation, maybe a kiss or a long, slow massage. That’s what intimacy is for us: real, authentic, interactions from the heart.
What is Intimacy for you? Is it making love, is it scary, is it appealing? Is it something you have longed for, or maybe something you don’t know is for you?
Being with other people doesn’t automatically mean that you will experience belonging and feel happy. Intimacy needs more than that: it needs that there is consent, that you feel safe and welcome.

This is what this day is all about.

The Intimacy Festival is a concept where the most amazing leaders in our fields gather together to share their favorite tools, workshops, and music – and offer that to you.

The Intimacy Festival is based on these three pillars:

* Authentic connection
When we pretend anything else that what we feel in a moment, we create a certain distance in a connection. The more real we are, the more vulnerable, the more close we get. Sometimes that’s with a smile, other times that may be with sadness, insecurity or just not knowing at all.

* Celebrating expression
People come in all sizes and shapes, preferences, looks and favorite colours. This festival invites you to be exactly that: you. Whether you come in your unicorn onesie, glitter nailpolish, high heels, a business suit or anything else: you do you, and we’ll celebrate that!

* Radical inclusion
We want everyone to feel welcome here, regardless of the gender you identify with, your queerness, ability, cultural background, age, neurodiversity, or favorite flavour of icecream. We actively stand for inclusion, against discrimination, ableism, racism, mysoginy, homophobia, etc.
After three sold-out editions of the Intimacy Festival, we are back and we will take you on a journey into intimacy on a wide spectrum of flavors.
This is a festival of togetherness, belonging, coming home. Of celebrating life together, in all our uniqueness. We soar when we connect. We thrive when we love!

During the whole day, you can mix and match your favorite schedule of quality workshops. The evening program is our gift to you: Ecstatic Dance and a Playground hosted by Odessa.

10.00 opening circle + practicalities + short presentation teachers

19.00 start evening program: Playground + Ecstatic Dance. This is hosted by
Odessa Muiderpoort and free to attend to all participants + facilitators of the intimacy festival.

LANGUAGE:
The main language of the festival is English. We target an international audience of facilitators and participants.

FEED YOURSELF WITH LOVE
You are invited to bring food to share – potluck style!

DRESS CODE: EXPRESS YOURSELF
Wear what makes you feel comfortable and… we also invite you to express yourself. If you feel like bold colours, please do! If you feel like wearing something ‘unusual’ please do! Experiment with make up? Be our guest! Layers are always good. Do you sweat easily? Bring an extra shirt or two. Soft things are nice if you want to cuddle. Jeans and belts can get in the way.
Invitation to the evening party: sparkles!
Please don’t wear strong scents. Aftershave and some essential oils might be quite overwhelming for people coming close to you.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS
This Festival is a co-creation of facilitators and communities. We believe in joining forces and celebrating together – competition is something we don’t believe in. Also: we love each other. Life is better together.

* Exploring Deeper
We all need touch. Here at Exploring Deeper we believe that satisfying intimacy needs to be available for everyone. To have that intimacy, a person needs to feel safe and secure in their own body. We need to know our boundaries and desires, and we need to know how to communicate them. How does a person change their life? By doing things differently, and then repeating that new way. When it comes to intimacy, our current society does not provide us with the means, tools, and places to practice our intimacy skills.
Exploring Deeper aims to create those spaces. Laboratories for exploring intimacy – deeper. We do that by creating events, sessions, materials, and professional training. All our products and services are based on the pillars of solidarity and inclusion. This means our events are meant to be a welcoming place to you, independent of race, gender, age (though 18+), s.xual orientation, relationship style, being neurodivergent or neurotypical, being disabled or non-disabled, or looks.
We acknowledge everyone is learning and may make mistakes in addressing others, ourselves included. Making mistakes is welcomed in our workshops. Intentionally causing harm by discrimination, racism, misogyny, shaming, bullying, spreading disinformation etc is not tolerated. As a team we are actively speaking up against these issues, and repeated misconduct will lead to remove the person causing harm from the workshop and potentially withhold access to future events.
