▽ GUEST TEACHER: BODHI
Bodhi has over 40 years of experience in training & teaching Tantra Yoga meditation and Kundalini to his students worldwide. He was specifically ordained to administer Shaktipat; to perform Kundalini awakening rituals, by the Siddha Guru, Swami Muktananda (affectionately known as ‘Baba’).
Bodhi’s own ‘Diva Diksha’ or Kundalini awakening occurred on, 6 Aug. 1969 while practicing the ‘fire breath pranayama’. He received his qualification to teach Siddha Yoga on, 28 Aug 1977 and was officially ordained by Muktananda approximately one year later.
He is now one of the few existing traditional Tantra Yoga teachers, chosen by a Siddha Guru, who still performs this ceremony.
Bodhi is the founder of, as well as an instructor at ‘The Heart of Shiva School of Tantra Yoga and Meditation’, and lives part time in Melbourne the USA. He gives workshops and Shaktipat rituals in the US, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, India, Thailand and Hawaii.
This Shaktipat ceremony will be extra long to get the full benefits of his presence.
▽ SHAKTIPAT
Shaktipat is a traditional, mystical, Tantric ceremony. In Sanskrit, Shaktipat literally means descent of grace. Through ritual and intent we invite awareness of life energy (Kundalini) into our bodies. Resulting in a natural state of bliss and ease.
Shaktipat is a solo meditation, supported by collective energy. You will be ‘touched’ by water of the Ganga river, sacred ash, Kumkum and a third eye blessing of the Siddha lineage. Indian Vedic chants will support you into deeper meditation.
A Shaktipat can be a deeply transformational experience.
▽ KUNDALINI
Kundalini, also referred to as life force, is the energy of your soul’s potential, rooted at the base of your spine.
Kundalini can awaken through practice (yoga, breathwork etc.), psychedelic stimulation (plant medicine etc.), spontaneous activation (e.g. birth), or through energetical transmission (Shaktipat).
We consider Shaktipat a safe way of awakening, as the lineage will ensure a smooth transition of your self-realization journey.
An awakened Kundalini can bring about massive life-transforming experiences and spiritual awakenings.
▽ SIDDHA LINEAGE
The Shaktipat ritual is performed according to Siddha tradition (5000 years old). Its primary objective was the direct, effortless awakening of the Kundalini. Through ritual and prayer we invoke the guidance of Bhagavan Nityananda, a meditator residing in the mountains of Maharastra, India.
Karlijn has received initiation through Bud Barber in Melbourne in 2016, and has been giving Shaktipat in Koh Phangan, Amsterdam, Berlin & Vienna.
